NFL Week 9 Commentary - Pro Football Opinion

Week 9 Commentary:

  • Davante Adams goes into concussion protocol. These concussions occur in essentially  every game.

  • Why go on 4th & 1 to open the 4th quarter instead of tie? Jets, that’s why. Caught a break on the penalty.

  • Garrett Wilson looked out of bounds on the big catch to me, overturned to a touchdown, shin is down before the knee goes out. Huge break for the Jets

  • Another bonehead play in the redzone by a team trying to do too much. A trick play pass to CJ Stroud, which he was held on but no flag was thrown. But why? Not appropriate timing to go so deep into the playbook. Just an off night for Houston.

  • The Texans aren’t who we think they are. They aren't the same team from a season  ago.

  • What is Brian Daboll’s offensive strategy? They need to run a Daniel Jones friendly offense with lots of designed runs. Had the Giants offense ever looked anything like it did when DB was the OC  in Buffalo?

  • The Sean Payton offense fits Bo Nix, Dolphins/Tua, Lamar/Baltimore Baker/Tampa Detroit/Goff all with offensive game plans designed around the QB.

  • Titans vs Pats a matchup of two of the worst teams this season. Thrilling finish though.

  • The Cowboys coaching staff just seems like not buttoned up. Sorry it has to be them, but coming out of a timeout, Diggs messing around with an injury, and not getting set. Giving up a touchdown on blown coverage out of a timeout.

  • Greg Olson is still Fox’s best game analyst.

  • Dallas seems to benefit from a fast pace type of offense where dak can sling it around and they can pick up 1 or 2 4-5 yard rushes

  • When a coach is shaking his head it’s a sign things aren’t good. Today Brian Daboll, Mike McCarthy it

  • Which team has a good chance to win a key game with their back up qb? Dak out with a hamstring injury early in the forth.

  • Get Lamb out of the game if he’s injured.

  • Drake Maye can use his legs, Pats have never had a QB really that could do that. How will they game plan for it?

  • Dallas turns over on downs 4x in this game.

  • Derrick Henry I think solidified himself in the MVP discussion .

  • Ravens show the Broncos what a real 5-3 team looks like.

  • The Broncos may fight for a playoff spot but ultimately can’t really hang with the big boys.

  • Dolphins look efficient with Tua in there but they just don’t have enough it seems like, a year ago they were running circles around teams, this year they can barely hang.

  • The Bears are just boring, they have no excitement factor on offense even though they have the #1 pick. Maybe it’s no problem for them and it fits the way they’d like to play. But I think the coaching staff is just in over their head maybe.

  • The Kelly green Eagles jerseys are arguably the best jerseys of the year.

  • Josh Jacobs will be huge for the Packers in January, in that weather, hopefully hosting a playoff game.

  • Brian Branch, Detroit’s best Defender is ejected for a head to head hit, additional 15 yards on the way out.

    • Never really tried to make a tackle, never used his hands. I’m okay with the ejection. What does the rule say?

  • Tom Brady compares Jameer Gibbs to Barry Bonds as a home run type hitter.

  • Lions are just really good. All around. Can they stay that way 12 more weeks?

  • Goff continues to play lights out. Furthering his MVP case.

  • Nacua ejected, after all the speculation on if he would play or not gets himself thrown out for throwing a punch. He certainly knows better. Why would he blow a gasket like that?

  • Rams are righting the ship. Can they keep it together?

  • Geno Smith might be falling off a little bit again.

  • Philly does it again, makes plays when it matters most.

  • Goff & St. Brown 30 straight completions together. Unreal.

  • Lions solidify themselves as the team to beat in the NFC and the clear favorite for the 1 seed.

  • The NFC West is all formidable teams, all capable of beating each other and even other good teams. But they’re so competitive with each other that they’re so middle of the pack, unlike say Buffalo

  • 2 overtime games today, hooray football.

  • I Won't be the first or last to say it, Joe Flacco looked 39 out there against the Vikings.

  • Sam Darnold May still need to elevate his game again if he wants to go lead the Vikings to the title game.

  • Is there a better receiving core than in Minnesota?

  • Who has the best receiving room in the league?

    • Bengals

    • Vikings

    • Chiefs

    • Jets

    • Falcons
