AFC East: 2025 NFL Season Outlook
Here’s what to watch for as the NFL kicks off the 2025 season next week in the AFC East.
Bills:
The Bills are still in their Super Bowl Window. With Josh Allen, the reigning MVP, at the helm, it’s no secret they’re still an elite team in the AFC. Buy beyond Allen, is there enough offensive talent to get over the hump? Who is their true WR1 right now? We know James Cook got his deal late, and presumable will be ready for week 1.
Patriots:
Can Drake Maye elevate his game this year? He had a solid rookie year, threw 15 touchdowns, and 2,276 yards. We all felt like New England definitely got their guy that was the vibe anyway. But this year we get Mike Vrabel on the sidelines stepping in so we have a lot to learn about the direction this team is going to go.
Dolphins:
The Dolphins have a tough schedule to start the year. I’m not convinced that Tyreke Hill is happy, he’s still elite on the field, but I think he’s tried to leave twice now. Is Head Coach Mike McDaniel on a warm seat this season? They missed the playoffs last season and everything seems to hang on Tua’s health.
Jets:
Justin Fields brings a new dynamic to the offense, as does new Head Coach Aaron Glenn to the defense. The defense should be solid again, but the roster didn’t make any significant upgrades. It’s tough to take a leap in the first year of a new regime.
